As energy costs remain high, the Queensland Government has introduced a one-off $350 Energy Bill Relief Payment to help eligible households manage electricity expenses. Here’s what you need to know to claim this support.
What is the $350 Energy Bill Relief Payment?
The $350 Energy Bill Relief Payment is a one-off credit applied directly to eligible residential electricity accounts in Queensland. It’s designed to help reduce cost-of-living pressures for households, especially concession card holders and low-income families, by lowering the next electricity bill by up to $350.
This payment is in addition to existing support, such as:
- The $1,000 Cost of Living Rebate
- The Commonwealth’s $300 Energy Bill Relief Fund instalments
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the $350 payment, you must meet all of the following conditions:
Residency and Account Requirements
- You hold an active residential electricity account in Queensland with an authorised electricity retailer or embedded network operator.
- You live at the supply address linked to that account on that date.
Concession Card or Income Support
- You or someone in your household holds one of these cards:
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold or White Card
OR
- You receive an eligible income support payment, such as:

- Disability Support Pension
Separate Metering
- Your property must be separately metered and billed for electricity.
Important: Households whose electricity costs are included in their rent are not eligible for this payment.
Tip: Check your most recent electricity bill or your online account to confirm that:
- You are listed as the account holder.
